BLACK DOG CAT BAND
“Like a cup of strong tea brewed from a vintage whistling kettle,
the group are a combination of garage, country-folk and Australian rock.
A blend of light and dark, the band provides a relatable soundtrack for the innocence of
running towards joy and freedom, all while the “black dog” is on your tail.”

Sometimes irreverent and funny, sometimes serious and sweet, this Brisbane based five piece brings together nostalgia and novelty, delivering catchy tunes formed around open chord progressions. Coining the term, “Gum Leaf Rock”, they combine acoustic instruments and ethereal soundscapes with effects-driven licks, boppy bass lines and melodic hooks with live performances that have fans captivated.
Black Dog Cat Band have shared the stage with Girl and Girl, Peter Bibby, Karl S. Williams, Bob Log III, Boing Boing, The Unkowns, J.B Paterson, Suicide Country Hour and Shifting Sands to name a few.
